It was a good meeting with Colin Paul singing and acting as MC, inviting others to take to the microphone. There certainly was a wealth of talent in the room! We had a raffle and auction which raised a good sum for fan club funds and charity. Rusty who is 20yrs old came along after discovering Billy four months ago when he went to see Halfway To Paradise. He says he then went to HMV and bought whatever CDs of Billy he could find. Great that Billy's music still spans the generations.

Unfortunately, Billy's mum and brother were unable to attend as Jean's still in hospital and Albie isn't well but they both sent messages to the fans. In April to commemorate Billy's 70th birthday there is to be a special event at The Eldonian Club in Liverpool on the Saturday night before the statue meeting on Sunday - more details soon.
