THE BILLY FURY SHOW - NOTTINGHAM ARTS THEATRE 11th JULY
The show was written by Michael Parkinson, pictured R with Mags and his wife, to raise money for 'Jessie's Fund' a charity working all over the UK to raise money for music therapy to help children with complex needs. The tribute to Billy used his recordings and some video with narration and dance from thirty two talented youngsters. Featuring forty two of his songs some of which were B sides, from albums and lesser heard recordings this was a unique show. Representitives from Billy's fan clubs were there along with Jean Wycherley who was very warmly received..... more in next magazine.
Many people have been contacting Albie to ask how he is doing ............ unfortunately he's recently had a fall and broken two vertibrae in his neck. He was taken onto hospital initially to resite his vascular access for the dialysis but after complaining of severe pain for many days he was given an x-ray and the fractures were found. He's having to wait for the op now as his neck is immobilised in a collar for the next three months whilst the injury heals. He has to be very careful as movement of the neck could lead to paralysis. He came out of hospital on Friday 16th and is being cared for at home by his mother.
I'm sure you'll all want to wish him well and it might cheer him a little to know we're thinking about him. Sending love and best wishes from all at BFITOY Albie. xxx
